“When someone shows you who they are believe them the first time.”

It’s such a simple saying but so often I don’t want to believe what I see, and in the case of Trump saying that the Jews are disloyal and that’s why we’ve lost support in Congress, I’m sorry I just can’t turn away from that.

President Trump had dinner with a rabid antisemite.

Had Trump only said, “I support the Jewish people and their right to live without being harassed targeted attacked shamed or anything of that nature,” we would all have forgotten about it and moved on.

But the fact that he dug in his heels, he used the occasion to put a target on all of our backs, and he continues to do it without remorse, without anyone else reproaching him, it shows how people really feel about Jews. We are disposable. We are the first ones to get thrown off the ship when the tide gets rough.

I am absolutely devastated by what Trump said on his own Truth Social account. Those words cannot be denied, they cannot be walked back.

I am grateful for President Trump’s efforts to recover our great nation from the hands of evil people. I know that this task is unimaginably hard, And that he gave everything for it.

But I cannot stand idly by while an entire people are gaslit and slated for scapegoating yet again. I am Jewish and so it hits me personally, but I believe I would react the same way if Trump had targeted any group.

We know how that ends.
