“Do not stand on top of the blood of your friend.” (Lev. 19:16) This right after “do not be a talebearer” (Lev. 19:15).
Why the conjunction? Do not think that you will build your empire on the backs of those whose reputations you destroyed. (Bava Metzia 58b:12: shaming is akin to literally “spilling his blood”.)

If you are an evil person, you may not think that anyone can stop you. As God Himself stands for the victims, I believe this to be untrue.
For bystanders, what we can do: Please speak out to the Establishment to let them know you support and believe survivors. Tell them you will not stand by as victims are sacrificed for the sake of people in power. Tell them it is not ok to “stand on a victim’s blood.”
Tell them until you can’t stop telling.
There are excellent bystander training videos and courses out there that can help you formulate your approach.
