A very wise person said to me, “Dannielle, you need to deal with the way things are and not with the way you think they should be.” And I think that advice is just so important in every aspect of life.
You know, when you’re thinking about geopolitics, right? And you hear from people who say Muslims are terrible—it says in the Quran that they want to take over the world. Okay, not every Muslim wants to live by the strictest dictates of the Quran. What is going on is that many just want to live an absolutely normal life. They want to observe their faith as they observe it privately. They’re not interested in taking over the world.
But many people—Muslims, Jews, Christians, and people who don’t have religion—have been indoctrinated to this idea that Israel is evil, that Israel is occupying this nation called Palestinians, and that Israel must be destroyed for justice to occur in this world. This is their “should.”
It makes absolutely no sense. It doesn’t hold up under scrutiny, but they can’t let it go. And it is this cultish mindset, no matter who holds this mindset, that must be addressed. It must be shattered. It must be splintered because when you’re dealing with people like this, there’s no logic. They’re literally like a cult.
And the mark of a mature person in a mature society is to be able to live in the gray. And so when you have people who profess to admire Hamas, to want to build more tunnels, to want to essentially dismantle, destroy, eradicate, and unfortunately genocide Israel and by extension the Jewish people, this mindset is the thing that must be addressed.
And honestly, these people who have this mindset must be deprogrammed. But it’s not going to happen if the media keeps reinforcing the narrative that they’re holding on to. So it’s going to be not just a whole country effort, it’s going to be a whole world effort to help these people.
