Walking Through Washington, DC

I have been spending some time in DC over vacation. It’s much cleaner and safer under President Trump than anytime in the 25 years I’ve lived here. Yet the Bethesda, Adams Morgan, and Cleveland Park neighborhood shops have varying levels of anti-Trump propaganda on the streets and around (eg “Dump Trump”). I got a definite Jew-hating vibe from some of the folks in Bethesda, but not elsewhere. There’s also a lot of leftist and community support posters. No Palestinian protesters. People on the street seem generally relaxed. Unfortunately I have seen an example of obvious and disturbing Illuminati symbolism as well, in an establishment that proudly displayed the Progress Pride Flag. (This flag is not Illuminati and stands on its own.) These are individual nodes in a network fused together by blind hatred for the President. I think it’s important to approach them as a sociologist and learn more about how they understand themselves.
