I want to tell you what gets me really upset about this ICE situation. It’s not the fact that people have different opinions about it. I have extremely good friends on all sides of the ideological spectrum. I fully appreciate the civil liberties argument, the pro-ICE argument. I respect everyone. What I don’t respect is elected officials trying to get votes off of telling people that ICE is some kind of victimizing force. Elected officials who are under investigation for fraud, elected officials who show up, make a stink just because they want to get elected in another election and have absolutely no moral center or justification for what they’re saying. These people are revolting.
