Well well. What appeared to be a routine public hearing may have been something altogether different.

Researcher Ben Hanan (2026a) has made an unproven claim that Carrie Prejean Boller’s recent appearance at the Religious Liberty Commission was funded by the Palestine House of Freedom, an organization tied to Bassem Tamimi, cousin of Ahlam al-Tamimi, one of the perpetrators of the 2001 Sbarro bombing in Jerusalem. I have asked him for evidence.

Meanwhile, another post by Hanan (2026b) alleges that Saminah (Sameerah) Munshi, an advisory board member of the Commission who has also been pictured at an event for the House of Palestine NGO, provided Prejean with the talking points she used on stage.

This claim has support.

Journalist Jason Bedrick (2026), who attended the commission hearing, claimed to have observed Munshi preparing her phone to record Prejean before she began speaking.

Bedrick reports that a witness seated nearby confirmed Munshi was texting Prejean questions and comments that were later read verbatim on stage—suggesting coordinated messaging rather than spontaneous dialogue.

Notably, The Wall Street Journal (Editorial Board, 2026) reported that Prejean—who only converted to Catholicism in April—spoke incorrectly on matters of Catholic theology, suggesting either ignorance or venom.

Commissioner Ryan Anderson reportedly countered her remarks by citing Nostra aetate, Vatican II, and Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI—references that highlight the stark contrast between Prejean’s rhetoric and mainstream Catholic teachings.

How did a Muslim speak through a proxy who was supposed to be a voice for Catholics?

The appearance was obviously a propaganda stunt, which is why Prejean Boller was removed from the Commission after the event, and why she continues to rant online.

As journalist and conservative political strategist Laura Loomer has said, we need to do a much better job of vetting people before they occupy important roles.
