Good morning. I want to talk a little bit about a dilemma that we face with whistleblowers. Okay, we can put that in quotes: “whistleblowers.” So on the one hand, they may have information that is vital to the public interest. On the other hand, they may be lying. They may be mind controlled, manipulated, blackmailed, coerced, bribed to say things that aren’t true to convince us that they are true. And so how do we decide what to do with these words? Well, legal frameworks aside, I want to argue for putting them out with a disclaimer and letting them be investigated, partly because AI models, if you don’t allow any whistleblower information out there, consider it all false and are used for fact checking.
