Opinion: The greatest predictor of a woman’s self-confidence is the presence of a protective father or husband. Conversely, women who are abused by the men tasked with their protection often develop a profound sense of rage at the injustice. This rage, however, is frequently a mask for intense grief. The lesson for men is clear: they should lead, protect, and support women, in order to fulfill their God-given purpose.
