Last night, March 24, 2026, conservative commentator and girlfriend of Kash Patel, FBI Director nominee, Alexis Wilkins published a 13-tweet thread. In it, she suggested that the data she uncovered shows an inorganic—meaning manufactured, fake—social media influencer organism.

This network deploys at certain moments to fracture Trump’s base. One prominent example, and the one that made her start searching for information, was the attack on her claiming she is a Mossad “honeypot”—completely fake. The bots swarmed it, made it viral, and the influencers repeated it.

Immediately, this went viral because many Trump followers have long suspected that Lieutenant General (retired) Mike Flynn—who calls himself General Flynn—has a network of influencers who repeat baseless, misleading stories. Among them is the story that Israel is responsible for the murder of Charlie Kirk, an insane theory which has stirred up tremendous antisemitism.

Now, if it’s true that Flynn is at the center of this network, what could his motive be? That’s what I want to talk about. Based on a simple reading of his own commentary on social media—forget everything else I’ve read, forget all the other stuff—if you just look at his pattern of behavior, it is clear that Flynn feels he has been overlooked. He believes his voice is important, that he knows more than others know, and that he forcefully wants to push himself forward even if others don’t want him in a formal position or don’t recognize him.

He’s very upset that he hasn’t been sufficiently recognized. I think it is that particular drive that has led him down a very bad path of sowing dissent and fracture, with sometimes completely contradictory statements—most recently, seemingly for and against China.

Remember when Flynn said:
“We have an army of digital soldiers. Because this was an insurgency, folks. This was run like an insurgency. This was irregular warfare at its finest.”
