So I remember on October 7th waking up and seeing what was happening pretty much live, and I knew instantly that it was very, very, very bad, and something in me basically died. I saw the Hamas terrorists taking the Israelis, and I kept saying to myself, oh, they’re just, you know, they’re just kidnapping them, they’re just going to hold them. I didn’t think that it was going to get as bad as it did, but then it did get very, very bad, and my sentiments were basically that war had been declared on Israel, and I thought, Israel, just do whatever you have to do.
This is beyond anything I could have imagined, and I said, if you have to bomb them to the ground to be safe, then do it. I was furious. Well, time went on, and we saw a lot of hatred coming at the Jews, a lot of fake claims of genocide, just smears from all sides, but Israel conducted its war so much more morally than it got credit for and lost, I think it must be like a thousand soldiers—not sure of the exact number.
Imagine the soldiers dying for the enemy, soldiers dying for the enemy to protect the enemy’s human rights. That’s what was actually happening. So I bring this up because the news comes out now that Hamas is gang r—ing their own women, and as a Jew, you know, you might think that I don’t care about these women, but actually, I care quite a lot, and my question is: who is going to save them? Who is going to rescue the women from the clutches of their own people? I think that as human beings, we do need to say something.
We do need to step in. We cannot have a society where women exist only to be prostituted and raped and exploited and used, and the world doesn’t intervene. The world is silent.
This is complete depravity.
