I. National and Religious Identity

• Separation of Church and State: Within the context of the United States, I support the separation of church and state.

• The Claim to Israel: The Jewish claim to the Land of Israel is rooted in its status as our Holy Land; in this regard, the Torah is the foundational authority.

II. Biblical Context of Lawlessness and “Hamas”

• Sodom and Gomorrah: The narrative of Sodom and Gomorrah centers on the residents attempting to kidnap Lot’s guests for the purpose of homosexual relations. The overarching theme here is lawlessness, which includes—but is not limited to—extreme sexual promiscuity.

• The Pre-Flood Era: Promiscuity is viewed so severely that it led to the destruction of the world during the Flood. In the Bible, the word “Hamas” describes the state of affairs prior to the Flood, characterized by a society where men kidnapped and raped women at will. This brand of lawlessness and promiscuity is not specific to any one sex or gender.

III. Torah Law and Sexual Ethics

• Gay Pride Parades: These events are viewed as promotions of sexual lawlessness. Regardless of intent, they violate both the letter and the spirit of Torah law.

• Specific Injunctions: The Torah’s prohibition against homosexual relations specifically addresses intimacy between men involving partners dressed as women. Furthermore, these prohibitions relate to the historical context of homosexual “sex cults,” which are fundamentally antithetical to God.

IV. Gender and the Talmud

• Classification of Sex: While the Talmud recognizes multiple biological sexes, its primary purpose is to classify individuals as closely as possible to one of the two primary categories.

• Social vs. Biological: In this framework, gender is viewed as a social construct, whereas sexuality is understood as a biological attraction.

V. Modern Events and Religious Observation

• October 7: It is noted that the attacks on October 7 occurred at a time when many were flouting the sanctity of the holiday of Simchas Torah.
