It’s the Pattern, Not the Photo

I can’t verify this particular story of the abduction and gang-r— of a Christian girl. I don’t know if this photo aligns to a real story on the topic.

However, Pakistan does have a documented pattern of abductions, forced conversions, rapes, and marriages targeting Christian and Hindu minority girls by Muslims, with estimates of around 1,000 cases yearly often going unpunished.

As of 2026, Pakistan remains one of the top countries where Christians face extreme persecution by Muslims.

Hardline Islamism and misogyny dominates in this country even though many mainstream Pakistani scholars and the government argue that these actions are un-Islamic.

We have a moral duty to speak up.
