If Netanyahu Wanted A Pretext for Genocide, Why Try To Block The Invasion Immediately?

Many very intellectual people, including many Jewish people, think that Israel’s response to the Hamas invasion on October 7th was a pretext to commit ethnic cleansing or worse, genocide. I’m going to give you a piece of information and then ask you if that information is consistent with such a belief. Caroline Glick received information from a retired Israeli general that Netanyahu tried to block Hamas on October 7th. He tried to bring in the Air Force, and Israeli Attorney General Baharav-Miara—and I may be mispronouncing her name—blocked it. She said that he didn’t have the authority until further meetings were held.
