This story wrap-up is important because it speaks to a false accusation made by Adina Miles Sash aka “FlatbushGirl” against Raphi Stein on June 1, 2026, on the Daniel Mael show.
On that show, Sash said that Adeena Kohn was “unsafe” in Montreal with her husband, that she did not feel “comfortable over there,” and Stein’s “enabled” Stein (one of her pet words). Here’s the quote:
“And in the situation of Adeena Kohn, we have text messages that we found through court documents where she says she feels unsafe. She doesn’t want to be in Montreal. She doesn’t feel comfortable over there. And now we can understand what she was trying to explain, because her very own sister-in-law’s, brother-in-laws have not done anything to help facilitate her freedom. If anything, they’ve sabotaged it and enabled Raphi even more. And now we understand why she was so unsafe.”
Now, there is an exchange where Adeena says she doesn’t feel safe in Montreal.
However, there has never been an allegation of domestic abuse against Stein that I could find.
In fact if you read the court papers it’s exactly the opposite. There is no need to quote those at length, but he is clearly going to every extent possible to work with her and care for her EVEN AFTER she filed for divorce.
So Adeena wasn’t “unsafe” with Raphi.
I thought maybe she felt “unsafe” because she had a postpartum psychotic episode there and found Montréal triggering.
Let’s connect this with another piece of information.
A source came forward and said to me that they are confused, because Adeena Kohn and her family are from Montreal, not Monsey. This includes mother Rivka and her father Meyer. They didn’t understand why Rivka was so tied to Monsey.
A second source, who does not know the first, Eli Evans, posted here that he saw on Sash’s social media that she tried to interject herself into a Montreal group of some kind, but they weren’t interested in the “Free Adeena” nonsense. (This update included a photo of Stein’s mother rudely scrawled on by Sash like the stalker in The Bodyguard.) The post was to the effect that Adeena’s parents had made a non-positive image for themselves in the Montreal community while they lived there.
If that is true, and who knows if it is, it is entirely possible that Adeena doesn’t feel safe in Montreal because her parents have a bad reputation there.
Sash, who says she can’t confirm or deny she is working with Rivka Kohn et al for “legal and halachic” reasons, would know their reputation, carelessly defamed Raphi Stein on that podcast. She should have done the homework before saying what she said.
