Good morning, everyone. Happy Juneteenth. It’s important to remember that both white and black people fought to save the slaves, to end slavery in America.
It is important to remember that Christians, Jews, and Muslims all fought in the Revolutionary War. And we all founded this country together, not to create a monolithic existence for one type of people, but to create a home where a lot of different types of people with different religions, different ideologies, fundamentally different views of life could not just coexist, but enrich one another. That’s what the United States is all about.
And that is what Iran is trying to destroy. It is important to know and remember that there are factors which challenge us from getting rid of the terrorist Iranian government. First of all, they copy Russia.
They’re very sophisticated. They know what they’re doing. They’re not stupid.
So they use the Strait of Hormuz. They use the sleeper cells. And perhaps more insidiously, they use ideology.
They have weaponized our own people against us to a very large extent. And it’s very, very scary. So I want to propose that until we have the first two things figured out, I’m going to leave that to people at a higher pay grade than me, we can work on the pride in being Americans.
What they can never take away from us is our education, our faith, and our knowledge that our nation is simply better than theirs. It’s simply better. They can’t beat us when we are patriots.
And regardless of whether you like Trump or hate Trump, it’s not important. What is important is to go and dig deep and remember what it is that makes this country great, why you are so privileged to be a citizen here and to think about it and talk about it every single day. And to get out there and to talk back to anyone who would put our country down and tell them the truth, the truth and faith in God and doing right by one another will absolutely set us free.
They can never own our souls if we don’t let them. Have a great day.
