I want to talk to you today about an American influencer with political courage and that person is Van Jones.

Now, I am a Republican.

I used to be a Democrat.

To me, what matters is, what are you doing for the people for the country? That’s my metric.

Van Jones is a progressive Democrat.

He did the courageous thing by saying that the Democratic Socialists of America. A very friend, very crazy group, which has been tugging on the strings of the Democratic Party and jerking it all the way to an extreme. He’s basically said that the DSA is crazed that their platform is nuts and that it is time for the Democrats to take the party back from these lunatics.

Now, we are living in an age when courage is becoming very rare. People say what they need to say in order to protect themselves, advance their careers, and grift, grift, grift. What Van Jones did was not guaranteed to be successful, but interestingly, after this act of courage, he took to social media and he said that his phone lines are blowing up from people who agree with him.

Now, this suggests to me that both on the left and on the right, the masses of Americans do not agree with the extremists who are running their mouths on social media. And I want to suggest that the moderates in both parties start screaming because if you don’t, then people are left with the lunatics. And the lunatics often are very gifted at public speaking, even if they’re short on facts.

And the average person doesn’t have time to sift the truth from the lies and all the details. And so you end up with psychopaths with big followings who say extremely toxic and hurtful things. And it’s very, very hard to untangle their web of influence.

So kudos to Van Jones. Let’s keep it going. We are a great nation and we will come back from this very challenging time that we are in with God’s help.
