Early this morning, August 7, 2026, I had a dream that hit me deeply. I want to share it because I think so many of us are feeling the same thing after watching constant, exhausting reports of antisemitism, especially in our beloved New York City.

In the dream, I boarded a bus to NYC in the early morning darkness, moving through a place that felt shadowed and almost dead.

But then, the darkness broke open into a brilliant daytime streetscape filled with a joyful, patriotic parade tied directly to Trump support. Importantly, in the dream it was September 11, 2026. Americans were reclaiming that day of tragedy and turning it into an ultimate celebration of national pride and strength.

As the parade unfolded, I saw happy Jewish vendors, including a Chabad couple playing music. The wife displayed to me a large, beautiful gray leather tote bag unlike anything I have ever seen.

What does that mean?

Chabad is known for the belief in observing Judaism with happiness. Amidst a city full of darkness, which transformed into a massive, public parade, the stunning gray leather bag symbolized their unique collection of spiritual tools for making light out of darkness.

For me, the bag represented deep personal joy—a vessel for carrying items that are treasured and deeply held. I bought it in the dream, and then woke up.

Symbolically, the spirit of happiness and cherished identity became my own to carry forward.

Someone recently said that President Trump and MAGA supporters are the most maligned group in America. I think that is actually true.

The President’s core vision has always been about an unshakeable, bold American patriotism—one that refuses to let our cities or our spirit die, even in the face of the most vile, despicable, hateful enemy.

The enemy targets us Jews, but they are really after America. And so that leaves us with a choice.

We can either let gloomy headlines dictate our reality, or we can choose to imbue the headlines with our own brighter narrative.

No doubt we are in a struggle to reclaim our Nation. But from struggle comes meaning.

We can follow a future where strength, faith, and national triumph win out.
