Antisemitism is not an identity

I don’t think Jewish people should define ourselves by antisemitism anymore. Our identity is positive, not the result of a negative. But I will say this: Online, there are definitely a lot of bots and extremist haters who say the absolute most vile things to produce the sense that antisemitism is everywhere. In real life, this is absolutely an optical illusion. The truth is, most people do not want to hear about Jews every single day. Some people have positive attitudes, some people have negative attitudes. Most are just unfamiliar. What I think we need to do as Jewish people is to simply dispel lies where they are told about us and admit truth, even when that is uncomfortable, and move forward. Our survival is not something that’s negotiable, our lives are not illegal. We deserve to live, to thrive, to participate fully in society, and to enjoy life. And if there are haters and extremists who don’t like that, it’s just too bad.
