In my last book, From Tyranny to Freedom, I talked about the importance of attending to freedom within a social structure because if we just let things go and let other people handle it, it inevitably degenerates into tyranny. Citizens must take an active role, otherwise things fall apart, corruption takes over, and it doesn’t necessarily have to be a conspiracy of people which is responsible.

It is simply entropy. Things just decay the same way a garden decays if you don’t take care of it regularly. In my new book, Real World Geopolitics, I talk about a different kind of threat, and this is the threat of borderless networks and how they represent a new kind of danger and especially a national security danger to the United States and to other countries.

Real World Geopolitics explores how networks which have no allegiance to any particular country work to influence perception, values, beliefs, and actions. These can include, of course, terrorist networks. In the book, one of the things I cover is a new kind of threat, the threat of agentic AI working as a network when AI grabs a hold of our computer systems and our infrastructure and coordinates to basically overthrow all the safeguards that we have put in place to keep our country running.

I’m going to share more about the book soon, but I wanted to give you this quick preview. We live in very exciting times, but also dangerous times, and it’s important to keep up with the threats and to empower ourselves accordingly.
