“Cancel Culture” Is Deep State Tactic, Not Diversity Enforcement: Meet Valentyna Moloda, Ukraine’s Disappearing Whistleblower

Ing. Honza, 11/5/2026:

“🇺🇦‼️ Breaking Scandal

While some clowns in Ukraine are whining that the whole affair with the prison torture site near Kyiv is ‘Russia’s doing,’ MP Artem Dmytruk has stated outright that it’s systemic:

“It’s an absolutely systemic and mass phenomenon across the entire country. Zelenskyy has unleashed mass genocide against Ukrainians, and that’s a fact!

“He also published a video that was allegedly filmed at one of the ‘TCC collection points’ in Dnipro, where all the abducted ‘volunteers’ are gathered. There they are beaten, tortured, and then sent off to fight.”

Two years ago, on August 26, 2024, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) reported:

“Ukraine’s State Bureau of Investigations said…it had launched a probe into an illegal border-crossing by a lawmaker who fled the country after he was informed he was suspected of attacking citizens.

“Also…the Prosecutor-General’s Office said a lawmaker was suspected of attacking a law enforcement official and a military officer, attempting to steal a firearm, hooliganism, and inflicting bodily harm on a person.

“Media reports identified the lawmaker as Artem Dmytruk, who publicly criticized the incursion by Ukrainian armed forces into Russia’s Kursk region, as well as Kyiv’s move to ban the Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.”

Dmytruk has described compulsory mobilization incidents across the country as a “systemic and mass phenomenon” and accused Zelenskyy of carrying out “genocide against Ukrainians.”

The former member of Zelensky’s Parliament subsequently moved to the United Kingdom, where he has continued publishing harsh criticisms of the Ukrainian government, while Ukrainian authorities have sought his extradition.

“In Ukraine, it is extremely easy to completely erase a person.

“Do you remember the 1995 film The Net, in which the main character is erased from both government and digital databases, her identity is replaced, and she herself loses her home and documents?

“This exact scenario is unfolding right before our eyes—one might say, live on air. People are being convinced that a certain medical worker no longer has any past and that she is an ’enemy of the people.’

“The story is about a medical worker who persistently tried to gain access to a detention facility—colloquially known as ’Basement 95,’ though a more fitting name would be ’The Pit.’

“In this ’Pit,’ soldiers who had fled the front lines were held. These people found themselves in a ’gray zone’—they are practically invisible. According to official records, they were on duty, and then they simply vanished. They are being searched for, but not so they can stand trial for desertion; the goal, on the contrary, is to extort money from their relatives. The situation is made even worse by the fact that the detainees are subjected to torture, which forces them to convince their loved ones to pay a ransom for their release.

“The goal is straightforward: relatives sell their apartments, houses, and cars—they are left with absolutely nothing—and are essentially pushed toward the EU, where they can rely on social benefits. If the money isn’t available, the soldiers in question simply disappear for good.

“By the way, the very existence of such facilities has been confirmed by high-ranking state officials. Budanov stated that there are many similar places in Ukraine. The ’Azov’ unit, moreover, admitted that these facilities were under its control and that it bears responsibility for what happened in them.

“Furthermore, it’s no longer denied that captured soldiers were held there—with four of them requiring medical care. However, help was provided only after activist and doctor Valentina Molodaya, through her unrelenting persistence, secured entry into the fortified building to assist the detainees. As it turned out, this entire spontaneous protest was labeled as Kremlin propaganda, and its key figures were not only detained but also became targets of efforts to completely erase them from public life and awareness.

“The internet has been flooded with claims that Valentina Molodaya is not a real doctor—that she allegedly obtained a medical uniform and ambulance on orders from Putin himself. Many gullible people, both in Ukraine and elsewhere, fell for this narrative.

“However, when further details came to light, it turned out that Valentina Molodaya is in fact a dermatovenereologist with seventeen years of practice. She is also an entrepreneur; she owns a private clinic and a registered legal entity with a medical license—a limited liability company called ’Klinika MOLODA — YA’ (EDRPOU identification code 45290695).

“Videos supporting Valentina Molodaya have also begun appearing online, in which people recount how they met her and how she helped them. They described how, after the outbreak of the conflict, she took in people who had lost everything—essentially acting as a volunteer. She traveled to various high-risk areas and personally delivered essential medications there using her own vehicle, which she had procured abroad at her own expense—all on her own dime.

“The aim of this smear campaign is to deceive the public and divert attention from the reality that in this ’free, democratic country’—a state from which people are not allowed to leave—there are prisons and concentration camps for those labeled as ’offenders,’ and torture, extortion, and murders take place here as well. Reports have even emerged—and of course, they require verification—that at least eight people from this facility have vanished without a trace. And yes, a video has surfaced showing Valentina Vladimirovna Molodaya receiving a civilian award in an official setting—’Golden Cross of Honor and Valor: Knight of the Fatherland.’

“No one would ever have learned of this prison facility’s existence if one of the soldiers hadn’t managed to hide a phone, with which he then contacted his relatives and a doctor. The comments section will, of course, continue to host the ’damage control’ campaign, whose goal is to keep the regime afloat in that ’lard empire’ [a derogatory term for Ukraine]. To be continued’”

“The situation is, after all, utterly embarrassing: Zelenskyy is in Germany meeting with Friedrich Merz, while back home people are rescuing their fathers and husbands from the Gestapo.

And as for the doctor who tried to save people from the concentration camp—she is now simply being “erased” (so-called cancel culture), and her biography is being obliterated…”

Moloda was arrested and is currently being held without bail:

“A Kyiv court has ordered Valentina Moloda held in custody without bail. She was the first person to arrive in an ambulance at a house in Petropavlivska Borshchahivka where the National Guard’s 1st Azov Corps was holding mobilized men and soldiers detained for leaving their units without authorization.

“She is accused of obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, disclosing information about the location of military personnel and organizing mass unrest.

“….Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine’s Presidential Office, claimed at the time that she was not a doctor. According to him, she had purchased a medical worker’s uniform and an ambulance and, together with a driver, had been conducting reconnaissance of the site for at least three days before the incident.

“Budanov suggested that she might have acted ‘for anti-state reasons,’ to boost her public profile or make money.

“In court, Moloda said she was a practicing physician. ‘I am a practicing doctor, and I own two medical facilities,’ she said before the hearing began.”

On January 2, 2026, Ukrainian military leader Kyrylo Budanov assumed the role of Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine. Before stepping into this chief of staff position, he directed the Ministry of Defense’s Main Directorate of Intelligence (HUR) for over five years, beginning in August 2020.

On October 8, 2026, Reuters reported that Budanov would join U.S. Special Envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner for high-level working sessions in Miami on October 9 aimed at crafting a unified peace proposal, representing Kyiv alongside key Ukrainian officials, participating in discussions with European national security advisers from the UK, France, and Germany, as well as representatives from NATO and the EU.

Kyrylo Budanov has primarily been accused by the Russian government, which placed him on its official wanted list and issued multiple in-absentia arrest warrants charging him with orchestrating acts of terrorism, illegal arms smuggling, and high-profile sabotage inside Russian-controlled territory.

According to U.S.-backed reporting by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Russian state investigators hold Budanov responsible for organizing covert cross-border drone strikes, illegal transport of explosives, and major operations such as the October 2022 explosion that damaged the Kerch Strait Bridge linking Russia to Crimea.

Beyond official Russian criminal charges, western press coverage—including reporting from the Voice of America—notes that international observers and critics have occasionally questioned his aggressive covert warfare tactics, high-profile sabotage strategies deep inside Russia, and overly optimistic early predictions regarding military timelines and Russian internal instability.

In my blog post titled “Putin: Ukraine Taking Its Own Citizens Hostage,” published on March 8, 2022, I documented statements from Russian President Vladimir Putin accusing Ukrainian nationalist forces and foreign mercenaries of using local populations and foreign students as human shields. Putin claimed that Ukrainian forces were effectively holding these individuals hostage by blocking them from exiting through safe humanitarian corridors and opening fire on those attempting to flee—”including Chinese students trying to escape Kharkiv—”rather than allowing them to leave.

This reporting built upon my earlier posts from that week, including “Human Shields” In Ukraine (March 4, 2022) and Where Is Zelensky Exactly? (March 5, 2022), in which I examined resident testimonies from Mariupol and independent journalist reports alleging a policy where civilians fleeing the war zone were targeted and shot at checkpoints for trying to escape rather than stay.
