Good morning. I want to talk to you about something a little deeper today.
Why is there such a concerted effort to undermine Islam and attack both Jews and Christians? One could argue the pros and cons of any faith, but at the end of the day, the true underlying motive is to sever the connection between people and God—replacing genuine faith with a shallow imitation.
The same holds true for patriotism. Why is there such an intense effort to divide Republicans and Democrats and to demonize the President? Our enemies want to pit Americans against one another so fiercely that we lose sight of our common ground. They attempt to discredit everything the President does by resorting to personal attacks—labeling him a racist, a womanizer, or focusing on scandals—so that any policy which legitimately helps the American people is dismissed out of hand.
I see this even among very “sophisticated” people. There is a push to discredit the Republican Party by associating it entirely with Trump, while within the Democratic Party, anyone who speaks sense is marginalized for refusing to follow the herd.
Others might phrase this more eloquently, but the intent is the same as the attack on religion: it is an attempt to sever Americans from their belief in their country and its leaders. There is a desire to install people who are merely imitations of patriots rather than true leaders for all Americans.
That is why everyday people, regardless of our personal beliefs, must stand together. We need to speak honestly about our thoughts and feelings. Take to social media, write your ideas down, and express yourself. Do not allow yourself to be fooled or suppressed. That is the only way we move forward.
