Information, Automation, and the Urgency of Peace

We live in a world where information is becoming ubiquitous.

Everyone is going to have access to the same exact information very soon. That is because the people of the world are pouring information into the cloud. The cloud fuels AI and AI is served up through many different means and mechanisms.

We’re all going to get it. It’s the ultimate democratization of knowledge. At the same time, people are rapidly learning how to automate their daily tasks using AI.

So, you have people taking ubiquitous information, adding their particular task, and creating automations where the AI churns out the work that they need based on the information that is shared with everyone. The next step is going to be agentic AI, where the AI runs on its own and it knows you based on a handprint on your profile of your activities using the internet, social media, and so on. In other words, we are soon going to have the autonomous society.

It’s not going to need very many people to run it. And there isn’t going to be a meaningful way to distinguish the knowledge of one nation from another. This is why the cause of peace and human rights is more urgent than ever.

When everyone knows everything, and there is nothing stopping bad actors from acting, only the isolation, marginalization, and erosion of credibility from their peers is what is going to stop them. Otherwise, everyone can just take out everyone and nobody will be left. God forbid.
