The Frightened Gazan

So, there was a video going around where a guy interviewed a young woman from Ramallah, and the young woman said all sorts of truly horrible things like…

She was glad about October 7th, that no Israeli is innocent—the common things that you hear people from Gaza say. But what was interesting was when they cut off the interview. They censored the interview because they recognized that it wasn’t sympathetic to Hamas; it was just objective. The woman looked at the men who were censoring the interview with complete fear in her eyes.

And this told me that she was not only brainwashed, but she was also very scared of expressing any thoughts that might be independent.

And I think that this is important, you know? When we talk about helping people from Gaza, the messages you may be receiving from these people are not free messages. They can’t just say whatever they want. If they do, Hamas can easily snatch them and do pretty bad things to them. So again, there was never a Gaza genocide.

And I don’t agree with people like Jared Kushner—who have a financial interest in developing Gaza—going in and selling their version of a peace plan.

But I do believe that there is a solution which involves completely removing Hamas from the picture, empowering the Gazans, educating them, making them prosperous, and really giving them a good life in their own space without nonstop war with Israel, which only results in more death on both sides, more suffering, more fighting—totally unnecessary. Think about it.
