Why Has Lindsay Clancy Become A Cause?

I was wondering how Lindsay Clancy became a cause—not just a tragedy, but a cause.

Someone wrote a very insightful column on Substack.

I’ve never heard of this person, and I haven’t researched their column, but they basically outlined how the publicity around this case really serves a statist model of healthcare, meaning that agency and freedom are taken away from the person and handed over to the AI-fueled healthcare complex. This complex will identify risk and, quote, “intervene with treatment” before a mother poses a risk.

And I just thought about the disaster that we’ve had when the state tries to, quote, “intervene, take over, manage, and otherwise overrule our freedom” because they’re so logical and they know more. It never, ever works.

It reminded me of the importance of not just taking narratives at face value—even though this is a very tragic story that deserves attention—but of really asking yourself: Why is the media paying so much attention to it? Why did it go viral? Why is there so much money in this right now? Who are the people involved?

Really be a questioning mind. I’m not saying that I have all the answers, but I do know that it’s very important to ask the questions, and it doesn’t make you a crazy conspiracy theorist. It makes you a citizen in charge of your life who wants answers, and who doesn’t want to be told, yet again, what to do by people who think they know more, who can ruin your life and then take none of the blame.
