So I went to the cardiologist for an echo and she shows me that I have atherosclerotic plaque, I’ve had this for a few years, and I’ve resisted taking a statin.

She says, you need to take a statin, and she shows me in her office what it looks like when the plaque grows in the artery.

So I say, well what happens if I don’t take the statin?

The doctor says, well what do you feel about dying? How does that work for you?

I bring this up because the truth, the scientific truth and the scientific findings about medicine can literally save your life. If you ignore science you really can die. It’s the same thing with your soul.

If you habitually consume lies, the kind of lies that take you off the right spiritual path, you end up doing some bad things and those bad things cloud your soul. They destroy your connection to God and those evil deeds lead to more evil deeds as your soul, God forbid, gets more and more clouded.

This is why truth is a kind of medicine and it’s so important to seek it and to speak it even if it’s hard to hear and even when it hurts.

Better to take the medicine than to lose your life whether physically or spiritually. Take care.
